DescriptionThe Siemens Multi IR Flame Detector (Series 40 / 40M) has been specifically designed for detection of hydrocarbon and hydrogen flames. Series 40/40M can efficiently detect hydrocarbon-based fuel and gas fires at long distances without tripping a false-alarm event. For instance, Series 40/40M can detect a gasoline pan fire at 215 ft. (65m) or a hydrogen flame at 100 ft (30m) in less than 5 seconds. Multi IR flame detectors have considerable durability and weather-related resistance. Specifically, Model 40/40M-222SF is comprised of the following: 4 20mA (SOURCE) wiring; a Normally Closed (N.C) FAULT relay, and either a N.C or Normally Open (N.O) ALARM relay. Model 40/40M-222SF has a maximum operating temperature of 185?F (85?C). It is stainless-steel by design, and has a 3/4? National Pipe Thread (NPT) Taper.
