Model RL-HC is designed for mounting to a 4? octagon outlet box, and Model RL-HW is designed for mounting on a standard single-gang switch box. Although there is no mounting limitation, Model RL-HC is normally ceiling mounted, while Model RLHW is normally mounted to a wall. The remote lamps may be placed up to 25 feet from the detector and use 14-to-18 gauge, 3-conductor wire.
