DescriptionThe Single-Mode Ethernet Switch (Model SCALANCE X204-2LD) is used in fiber-optic communications between Siemens Modular systems (or FireFinder control panels) and the Siemens Virtual Network Tunnel (VNT). The single-mode Ethernet switch has been tested for operation with only the VNT. Interpanel communication is accomplished in a Class X (Style 7) wiring configuration. Connectivity is supervised and power-limited, and the product is UL Listed as a System Control Unit Accessory. Note that the single-mode Ethernet switch has only been regulatory tested, approved for use with the Virtual Network Tunnel (VNT).
